the riding skirt:: rust

I have this picture of my mom.
It's my favorite.
She's 29, and she's wearing a pair of high waisted culottes with a matching vest that she sewed herself and the most fabulous pair of cognac riding boots ever.
I have worshiped that image of her my entire life.
My beautiful mother.
Young, creative, stylish, understated, fabulous.
I used to sneak into her closet as a child and try those boots on.
They went all the way up to the top of my thighs but they were magnificent.
And I swore to myself, someday I would recreate that look.
When I sat down and sketched out my newest style, hers was the image in my head.
So for you, mom...
The Riding Skirt.

Available now in Rust.
Ginger coming (very) soon.
Giddy up.
**many thanks to my beautiful friend/hair stylist Hilary for modeling.
Check out her blog.  Girl knows her stuff.
